Belarus plans to host World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships after 2020

Belarus plans to host the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships after 2020, said the head coach of the Belarusian Rhythmic Gymnastics team Irina Leparskaya at a press conference in Minsk.

“We want to host the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in the new Palace of Rhythmic Gymnastics,” she said. According to Leparskaya, until 2020 all the European and World Championships are scheduled.

On May 1-3 Minsk-Arena will host the 31st European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships. “The inspection wasn’t conducted; they are still under the impression of the Championships held in Minsk in 2011. We are entrusted with the Championships despite the fact that the Palace is under construction,” said the head coach.

The European Championships-2015 will be attended by 38 countries. 600 athletes and members of delegations are expected to arrive. They will live in hotels near the arena. Foreign participants and fans will traditionally receive free visas.

The price of tickets is 50,000-110,000 Belarusian rubles ($3.45-7.6). The permanent ticket price is 105,000-285,000 Belarusian rubles ($7.25-19.7).
