Peskov: Putin gives instructions on meeting in Khakassia

Head of State held a meeting in Khakassia on the liquidation of fire consequences in the region, as well as in Tyva, the Amur region and the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will give instructions after the Khakassia meeting on fires in Siberia and the Far East. “A list of instructions will be worked out, and it will be published,” President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Head of State held a meeting in Khakassia on the liquidation of fire consequences in the region, as well as in Tyva, the Amur region and the Trans-Baikal Territory. The fires left more than 30 people died, almost 2,000 houses burned and hundreds of hectares of the forest destroyed. Mostly, the cause of fire was the human factor. At the meeting, Putin said that after the discussion he will prepare a list of instructions, which will be published in the near future.

The President also stated that the next month he would plan another trip to Khakassia. “Somewhere in a month and a half I’ll go to the region to see how the reconstruction works are going on,” he concluded.
