Iraq interested in training law enforcement officers and medical workers in Belarus

Iraq is interested in the products of Minsk Tractor Works, in training law enforcement officers and medical workers in Belarus, stated Foreign Minister of Iraq Ibrahim al-Jaafari, who visited Belarus on April 8-11.

"We hope to use the technology and products of Minsk Tractor Works in the agricultural sector of Iraq, said the Head of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry. Security issues were discussed as well. We are interested in training the security forces, the police officers in your universities. This is particularly topical in light of the fight against terrorism".

According to the diplomat, in general, cooperation in the fields of education and research activities will be developed. "At the moment, certificates of 13 Belarusian universities are valid in Iraq. In the near future, there will be another three. I am talking about the sphere of health care. You have an ample experience in training and medical care," said the Minister.

"We are looking forward to the seventh meeting of the Joint Trade and Industry and Ministerial Committee, which will be dealing with implementing all the agreements and memoranda," said the Head of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
