Russian Tourism: Resorts of Krasnodar Krai and Crimea are ready to receive tourists

Resorts of the Crimea and the Krasnodar Krai are ready to receive tourists in the summer of 2015, said Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov at a press conference.

“The South of Russia, the Krasnodar Krai, is absolutely ready to receive tourists. If we are talking about the Crimea, I can say that in early April we examined the entire peninsula and made sure that everything was okay with accommodation facilities, but there were some problems with transport accessibility in the Crimea,” highlighted Safonov.

According to him, at the Kerch Strait ferry line and at the airport of Simferopol are conducted active works now, and they are to be completed by June 1. “The infrastructure of the Crimea is ready to receive tourists; I hope the transportation will be provided as well,” he concluded.

“If we talk about the main tourist centers, Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Golden Ring cities, they are ready and willing to receive tourists,” stressed Safonov.
