Russian Labor Ministry prepares handbook of in-demand professions

Russian Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Lyubov Eltsova specified that the draft handbook would be presented on July 30. It will be discussed at a meeting of the Presidential National Council on professional qualifications.

The national handbook of the most in-demand professions in the labor market will be developed by September 2015, said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.

Lyubov Eltsova admitted that the draft handbook would be presented on July 30.

“The creation of such a handbook allows improving the system of vocational education and creating conditions to train specialists for the most in-demand professions,” highlighted Deputy Minister during a round table with the participation of deputies of the State Duma of Russia, representatives of executive authorities, employers’ associations, educational institutions and expert communities.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the round table participants supported the Ministry’s approaches to the creation of the handbook of in-demand professions and new and emerging occupations. According to experts, the handbook use will allow creating conditions for staff training in accordance with the best standards and advanced technology, at the same time improving their quality.
