Crimea received more than 3.8m tourists

More than 3.8 million tourists have visited the Crimea from the beginning of the year, which is more than during the whole 2014, stated head of the Crimean Parliamentary Committee on the Resorts and Tourism Alexey Chernyak.

“At the moment, the number of tourists is about 3,880,000 people. We have already exceeded the last year's result by 20,000-30,000,” Chernyak told reporters on Monday in the Crimea.

According to the Committee head, at the end of this year, the authorities of the Republic of the Crimea expect to receive about 4.5 million people.

“I’m sure we will get more than 4 million tourists, maybe the number will exceed 4.5 million. Tourists travel actively, many hotels have no available rooms, the Simferopol airport sends and receives up to 180 flights per day,” concluded Chernyak.
