3.5 magnitude earthquake occurs in Armenia – Seismic Service


A 3.5 magnitude earthquake has been registered in Armenia, informs the National seismic protection service.

The earthquake, the epicenter of which is located in the territory of Armenia, has occurred on Monday, April 6 at 5.26 am local time.

The earthquake hypocenter was located 10 km below the Earth’s surface; its push strength in the epicenter area reached 4-5 points.

The earthquake was felt in the cities of Gavar and Martuni, in the village of Eranos, the Gegharkunik Province of the country (3-4 points), as well as in Yerevan (2-3 points).
