Friske’s family to release singer’s posthumous album

Zhanna Friske’s sister, Natalya Friske, said she plans to release the singer’s posthumous album that will include unreleased songs. She stated that in one of the comments to an Instagram post.

“We will record an album of her unreleased songs! I don’t know exactly when! She was composing songs, some of them were created six years ago, one – just before the illness,” wrote Natalya Friske.

Natalya Friske also responded to fans’ offer to start a music career: “No one can replace Zhanna.”

Zhanna Friske died in June, 2015, after two years of struggle with a brain tumor. She was 40.

The fact that Friske was diagnosed with brain cancer became known at the beginning of 2014. Channel One and Rusfond were raising funds for the singer’s treatment. More than 60 million rubles (more than 1 million dollars – ed.) were raised. Part of the money was given to treat children. It was reported that Friske was under treatment in the United States, Germany, the Baltic states.

At the end of last year, Friske underwent treatment in China and returned to Moscow. During the last months, the singer lived with her husband, TV presenter Dmitry Shepelev, and their little son Platon in the suburbs of Moscow.

It was reported earlier that Friske and her husband were going to establish a fund helping people with cancer.
