Dalí and Picasso works first exhibited in Minsk

Belarusian National History Museum from April 30 to June 28 will host an exhibition of sculpture, ceramics and graphics by two geniuses of our time - Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso.

“For the first time in Minsk will be exhibited Picasso’s 30 ceramic works, as well as all the ceramics, graphics and most famous sculptures by Dalí,” said Museum director Oleg Ryzhkov in an interview with “Minsk-news” agency.

“All the works are authentic. This is the property of a Russian collector Alexander Shadrin. For 15 years he has been purchasing Dalí’s and Picasso’s works at Christie’s auction, from collectors, museums, galleries and auction houses of Europe, and today it is Shadrin who has the world’s largest private collection of sculptures by Salvador Dalí. Of course, for Minsk it’s a sensation; and almost the whole second floor will be used to feature the Spanish artists’ works.”

Viewers will have a unique opportunity to compare the two geniuses and their visions and ideas about women, corrida de toros (bullfighting – ed), hot Spain and many other things.
