Charles Aznavour will give a concert in Moscow

Last year's concert that Charles Aznavour gave in Moscow was declared the last one in his career, but by popular demand of the spectators, the 90 year old classic of the French chanson performed encore.

On Wednesday, the French singer Charles Aznavour gave a concert in "Crocus City Hall" in Moscow, the program included the best songs from the repertoire of the maestro.

The maestro sang songs in 7 languages, including in Russian. The list of Aznavour`s famous songs included "Une Vie D'Amour", "Ave Maria", "La Bohème", "Hier encore". The song "Une Vie D'Amour" written by Charles Aznavour to the music of Georges Garvarentz was translated into many languages, including into Russian. It won great popularity among the Russian public in 1981, when it was performed by Charles Aznavour and Mireille Mathieu for the first time.

Aznavour` songs were performed by Elton John, Bob Dylan, Sting, Placido Domingo, Celin Dion, Julio Iglesias, Edith Piaf, Liza Minnelli, Ray Charles, Tom Jones, Laura Pausini, Andrea Bocelli, Serge Gainsbourg and many other musicians. As an actor, Charles Aznavour appeared in more than sixty films.

Charles Aznavour was named Entertainer of the Century by CNN and TIMES magazine. During his 70-year career, the maestro sold 100 million discs, wrote 1,200 songs, played 80 roles in films, released 294 albums and gave more than 1,000 concerts in 94 countries around the world.
